Danny Lee - The next big thing in golf?

I have been watching the Australian summer of golf (and not posting on this blog anywhere near as much as I should) and the name Danny Lee has been coming up a lot (that happens when you win a tournament I guess). He is the number 1 amateur in the world and beat a strong field to take out the Johnnie Walker Classic.

He put together 4 rounds of solid golf seemed calm and collected and much more mature than 18 years old! He plans on Turning pro after the Masters this year and I think the future is looking bright for him!

What do you think? Leave a comment.

I can't believe you guys even know about Danny Lee! He's one of my favorite up-and-comers. Can't wait for the Masters this year! Except, I have to work actually during most of the tournament! A friend of mine told me that they're streaming the Masters on CBSSports.com. I looked it up today and it turns out they are! Here's a link for them to notify you when the streams are live: http://www.cbssports.com/golf/tournaments/masters/video

I think we will have to wait a few years yet to decide on this - an exciting wait it will be though - and great for the sport

So many "next ones" in the Tiger era. It seems like we're always looking for the next one rather than enjoying the present group we have.
I hope Lee and Rory pan out and don't fall into Michelle Wie territory.

Why don't you write more?

I think we have enough "big things" in golf although John Daly seems to have slimmed down quite a bit.

I also consider Danny Lee as a very promising golfer. He has proved himself in Australia and will do the same in coming days.
Well done Danny.

I would like to see some up and comers soon. We really haven't seen anybody come along of note for awhile now. If this kid is the real thing, then bravo!

Danny Lee has proven himself but consider Sergio Garcia is going to be the next big name in the golfing world.

Danny Lee, of course he is a good player in the world of golf, but some other players(as such Sergio Garcia) are also good. So all the best to Lee for his upcomming games. hope he will prove himself again.
